The RMS Titanic is probably the most famous ship in the world. Everyone knows its tragic story of the collision with an iceberg on its maiden voyage and its sinking in the icy waters of the North Atlantic on the night of April 15, 1912. Construction began on March 31, 1909 at the Harland & Wolff shipyard in Belfast. It was launched on May 31, 1911 and the equipment was completed on March 31 of the following year.
