The standing model is a replica of the F-51D Mustang North American. The F-51 was perfect for the Korean conflict as well as for working with forward air controllers. The main disadvantage of the fighter aircraft was the vulnerability of the F-51's coolant fluids. The F-51 was designed for anti-aircraft and small arms fire against ground units. However, this led to the Mustang having the highest damage rate of all aircraft in Korea due to its vulnerability. In three years of service, 194 of the fighter aircraft were rendered inoperable, with only 10 of them shot down.
